Yesterday was a "Praise God" day! The previous couple of days were filled with warnings of coming storms that could be powerful and destructive. Four years ago, we experienced excessive damage from a storm that brought high winds and large hail, and since that time, when severe storms are predicted, we take actions to help mitigate damages, as much as we can. I secured loose objects, secured flower pots, tied down swings, put items in the buildings, and made sure that if we experienced excessive winds, nothing of ours would damage anyone elses property. While I was doing this, I felt a strong need to pray. Amazingly, as I secured our home, I found myself walking around my house while I was praying. Once I realized that I had lapped my house twice while securing and praying, I decided that I would, with intent, walk around and pray 2 more times. The first wave of storms came through and everything held strong. Then the second wave came and we were hunkered down to ride out whatever came. Praise God, all is well! What lesson can be learned from this experience? I believe it is simple. Circumstances of life occur, and when they do, prepare as best that you can, and put it in God's hands and be assured that all will be well! End Result... PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!
