October 10 God on Vacation Psalm 121: 3-4
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:3-4)
Have you ever needed a service person and when you call for an appointment, you hear those disappointing words: “We are closed for Vacation!” What if God were to take a Vacation? Can you imagine what would happen? In a matter of a millisecond, the world would be in more chaos than it is right now. If God were to take a Vacation, no prayers could be answered, until He returned. Throughout the ages, people who felt the need to pray and have gotten on their knees before Him have ALWAYS been heard! God was ALWAYS there. He told us that He would neither slumber nor sleep. If God took a Vacation, there would not be anyone to keep the promises that He has made to Mankind. If God took a Vacation, then sinners could only call on Him for Salvation, at certain times. My God is ready at any time, day or night! God says that if you are willing to forsake your evil ways, He will save you! Common sense will tell us that we cannot be saved unless we are willing to forsake our sins. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Thank You God for not being on Vacation and being available 24/7/365 for me and for all that will call on Your Name! A few weeks ago, a young man asked me, “Where is God?” I responded, “Where are you?” What God does with you is entirely up to you! It always has and it always will! He is ready, are you? “Yes my God was in time for the children of Israel to cross the mighty Red Sea. He was on time when the walls of Jericho fell at Joshua's feet. Every time I feel discouraged, don't have to wonder where He'll be. God's been in time, on time, every time, Every time God's been right on time, God's been in time, on time, every time for me, for me for me!!” (Gold City) STAY STRONG, STAY FOCUSED…REMEMBER – THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!
