"WILL THE CHURCH SURVIVE?"

October 30    Will the Church Survive?  Matthew 16:18

Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)

I have heard speculations from individuals that I thought knew better.  They were speculating about the survival of the Church.  Folks, listen to what God says about the survival of the Church!  There are many opinions about who Jesus is and what His purpose was, however, Peter’s confession and description of Jesus is the absolutely correct identification of Jesus.  Jesus is the Promised Messiah, the One, True Son of the God and it is the bedrock of the Church!  Peter, the “Stone,” became a foundational rock in the Church and we are told, clearly and boldly, that nothing, not even the “Gates of Hell” will prevail over the Church. Now, the local building, that we call church, can be destroyed and the physical manifestations can be plowed under, yet, the Church, those who are a part of the REDEEMED CHILDREN OF GOD, will never be destroyed!!  As Believers, we shall overcome sin, sorrow, death and we will prevail.  Our victory is assured, through the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS!  So, don’t worry about the Church, we will PREVAIL, we will SURVIVE!  Beyond survival…PRAISE GOD…WE WILL THRIVE!!!Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!!
