December 13 “Fear Not…” Luke 2:10-11
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11)
Pandemic, growing numbers infected, closings, shutdowns, loss of jobs, general fear and anxiety, depression, sadness, loneliness, despair, these words, and many more can describe our world today. Just listening to others around me, I have heard this phrase more than any other time in my life, and I lived through a time, when in the early grades of school, when we had “Bomb Drills,” when we were preparing for Nuclear War, as we huddled under our tables or desks, and that phrase is this: “I’m Afraid!” I am here, right now, to proclaim that because of the Love of God and His Son, Jesus, we DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR! I repeat the “GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY!” WE HAVE A SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST! Regardless of what comes our way and regardless of the insanity and depravity of our present age, there is GREAT JOY in knowing that God loves us enough to send Jesus as our SAVIOR! PRAISE GOD! Folks; Christmas is a celebration for every day and for every season and for every event! Listen…I AM THE SON OF A KING, WHO IS NOT MOVED BY THIS WORLD. FOR MY GOD IS WITH ME AND HE GOES BEFORE ME, I DO NOT FEAR BECAUSE I AM HIS!!! How about you? Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
