December 28 “In His Time…” Ecclesiastes 3:11
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)
In recent times, I have used this particular passage of scriptures for funerals. During the difficult time of the loss of a loved one, it is hard to picture things having a happy ending. When we are in the midst of struggles and trials, it is often difficult for us to envision our situations to end well. In spite of the circumstances, and in spite of our perspective of how things will end, Our God has promised to make all things beautiful, in His time! Life is hard, at best, and as we travel through hardships and struggles, with hours spent caring for loved ones in need, comforting those in pain, encouraging those who are depressed and desperate, we can take heart that all of our actions, motivated by His Love, will be a priceless treasure to us. These memories are precious! As humans, we see life in the here and now, we have a limited view; However, God views everything in the light of eternity! He is not limited by time! Praise God! When He sees our lives, He views it as a “FOREVER” story! God knows and understands what we are walking through…it is only for a season…it will not last forever! As we say “Goodbye” to 2020 and welcome 2021, ask for God’s perspective on this temporal season and shout His praises and thank God for the promise of making “EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL…IN HIS TIME! Folks, I choose to claim His promises and cling to His power and enjoy the “Beauty” that He has promised! Remember…This too shall pass…. Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE (And it will be BEAUTIFUL!!)
