December 30 Strong in the Battle Psalm 108:13
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.” (Psalm 108:13)
Throughout the New Testament, we are told that we are in a “Battle!” It’s a little strange to think that we are living in the midst of a real and eternal struggle, however, it is reality! We are under attack from many sides. We are being attacked on a physical level and on an emotional level. Satan is using every means available to besiege us with feelings of guilt and bitterness and self-doubt. All of us have felt the “Tug of War” going on within our very beings. Guess what? WE ARE IN A BATTLE!! God’s word tells us to put on the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD! As I have turned up the notch on my witnessing for Christ, Satan has used every means available to thwart my efforts and to create discouragement. So, as a servant of Christ, how am I to avoid discouragement? Praise God! I avoid discouragement by remembering that I AM NOT FIGHTING ALONE!! God’s precious Word tells me that the VICTORY is mine and that ultimate Victory is mine, because HE IS GOING TO BRING IT!! God will fight on our behalf and HE will handle our enemies that constantly challenge us! God will change our fears into Faith and our sorrow into Gladness. Our anxieties will be replaced with HIS Truth! Thank God that VICTORY is mine, and, so I continue to fortify for the Battle, with perfect Peace in knowing, that as a Follower of Christ, I have the advantage! Jesus Christ, Him Crucified, Risen and beside God the Father, as an advocate for me! Thank you Lord, for fighting for me! Thank you for the assurance of the Victory! I am Strong in the battle because of my Faith, His Promises and God’s Love! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
