“When All Else Fails, Read The Directions!”

2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

A church was recently advertising on a roadside billboard. They had a picture of the Bible and the caption above it: “ When All Else Fails, Read The Directions”(Bible), and I would like to expand this thought. We all probably have a bad habit of trying to repair something or put something together without first reading the directions. Most every time that I have been involved in putting something together, I dive right in, assuming that I am more than a match for the task ahead. Usually, I make a mess. Guess what? That's right; I then, read the directions. Amazingly, I am able to fit together all of those small pieces that are so crucial for the whole thing to work. God has given every one of us directions for our lives. Those directions are found in God’s Holy Word, the Bible. Many of us have tried to put our lives together without reading these directions. Why am I talking about this today? Well, in light of the current events, we need to turn to something that is true and solid and unchangeable. How are we to find direction for our lives when the entire world is in a tailspin? There are some things that we must do to put all of the pieces together.

The first thing is to “ Seek the Kingdom of God.”. Matthew 6:33 days, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Many of us have made messes of our lives because we failed to “ Seek God!” The Holy set of directions, the Bible, is our direction, our guide and our anchor in hard times. Regardless of the mess that you have made, He is willing to clean you up and set you on a new path with all the pieces fitting properly in their place. There is still hope, they're is still time…you can come to Jesus and He will not turn you away! John 6:37 says, “And him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out!” Claim His promises; expect His provision and Praise Him for His Love for us. “When All Else Fails, Read The Directions!!” Take this opportunity, while you are being asked to stay home, to read God’s set of Directions for life! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…Remember, THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!!
