***Due to the rise in COVID19 related illnesses, we are strongly encouraging the use of Masks, within the sanctuary, and to continue to observe “Social Distancing.” Together, with a faithful reliance on God, we will overcome this present challenge!!***
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Nicodemus saith unto him, how can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (John 3:4-7)
Today, I officially qualify as a “Senior Citizen!” What an amazing journey! My earthly, human birth was a great thing, however, at the age of twelve, I was re-born into the Kingdom of God! I remember that Fall Sunday evening, and the church was packed, and the evangelist preached a powerful and moving sermon about Hope, and the Holy Spirit began to work on me, and I gave over and I walked down the aisle and took my Daddy by the hand and said, “I want Jesus!” I felt someone pushed up against me and when I looked back, it was Mama. She was crying, Daddy was smiling, and we all dropped to our knees and my dear Daddy navigated me to pray the “Sinner’s Prayer,” and I remember so clearly, when Daddy said, “Son, you have got to believe these words and claim their power, through Jesus to change your life!” Folks, from that day, I have looked to God for guidance and instruction. Now, I have not always honored God in my actions and behaviors, however, His love for me and His Salvation of my soul, is absolutely assured! Perfect, I am not, yet the blood of Jesus covers my sins, and I am made acceptable before Almighty God. Even though I accepted Jesus as my Savior, 53 years ago, I am still growing and maturing in the Spirit! For me, the best part of getting older, is the fact that I am one day closer to seeing my Savior! It is my prayer, for you, that you receive Jesus as your Savior and join with me, someday, in Heaven, as we gather around His throne and worship Him together! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS ABSOLUTELY AND MOST ASSUREDLY, YET TO BE!
