Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)
Every one of us will guard what we deem as valuable and we will do what is required, in order, that they will be secure. We guard our money, our health our interpersonal relationships, and our time. The higher that we value something, the greater our efforts to keep it secure! Paul is telling the Church at Ephesus, to “Keep the unity of peace!” Paul was saying that they should value “peace,” and should protect their unity of their lives, in Christ Jesus! Notice that it doesn’t instruct them to “create” unity! Jesus has already accomplished this, at the Cross of Calvary! Christ has given us the opportunity for “spiritual unity,” through the Cross. It is a gift, and it is up to us to embrace and to exercise this gift! Is it easy? The answer is NO! Notice the word “Endeavor!” We are to be diligent and give every effort to make the “unity” happen. Friends, “unity” in the Church depends on the unity of the spirit that is within us! Are you making every possible effort to “keep the unity of the spirit, in your home, in your jobs, in your friendships and in the church? Please be aware that our Life in Christ and the commands of our Savior, are too important not to “Guard,” and to share! Be aware, Be Prepared, Be Strong, Be Focused, and Serve Him in the Spirit of Unity!!! THE BEST IS ABSOLUTELY AND DEFINITELY YET TO BE!
