~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save, He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
Becoming a Christian was the BEST decision that I have ever made. When I came to Jesus Christ and accepted His selfless act on Calvary, my eternity was secured! When I attempt to get my mind around “eternity,” or “forever,” I am limited. It, is truly, beyond my human comprehension, yet it is a fact; I am saved and secure for eternity! When I came to Christ, He promised my eternity, however, not just my eternity being secure, He promised that He would provide His Power and Strength and Wisdom to live my life, right here, right now! The calm assurance, in my life, is the fact that in every trial that I endure, my Christ, my Savior is with me! Because of my relationship with Christ, I can experience the rejoicing and the gladness that He provides, to me, through His Love…not just for eternity, but right here and now! As we all endure this present challenge and as we all go through the political and social upheaval, we all have the tendency to see the problem, instead of the solution. As early as this morning, I thought, “How are we going to make it through this challenge and what is going to be required of us before the end is in sight?” Things like, delaying our traditional family Thanksgiving meal until a later time or cancelling a planned gathering of our Pre-Christmas Lunch or avoiding our everyday encounters. Things are improving, yet the fear and threat of COVID19 is real and seems to be getting closer and closer to affecting everyone. Every one of our lives have been affected and disrupted. Regardless of how you feel about this Pandemic, it is REAL (I can attest to this fact), and it continues to spread, and it does not discriminate! Keep this fact in your mind: As a Forgiven Follower of Christ, we must move forward by clinging to our FAITH in God, and CLAIMING HIS PROMISES, and RECOGNIZE THE REALITY, and EMBRACE THE FACT THAT HE IS ABSOLUTELY IN OUR MIDST!!! It requires FAITH and COMMITMENT and SURRENDER, to make it through these challenging times! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
