May 1 Wisdom of the Ages James 3:17
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17)
May 1st was a special day in the life of this country boy. This was the day that I could officially go barefooted outside and I could take off my tee shirt. These are simple things, yet, actually expressions of “Wisdom” of the ages that have been formulated through history and experience. Amazingly, I still look forward to May 1st, although, I always wear a tee shirt and I go barefooted whenever I want to. As I reflect on the process of living, I become aware of so much “Day to Day” wisdom that has been passed from one generation to the other. Could it be that this world could use some “Old Fashion” wisdom? A Wisdom that is directly from God! A Wisdom that is “Pure,” and brings “Peace,” and is “Gentle,” and is “Willing to Yield to God,” and “Merciful,” and produces “Good Fruit?” Actions, words, circumstances, of this world, do not come close to reflecting “Wisdom” or even a basic level of “Common Sense,” yet people are embracing the “Insanity” and the obvious lack of “Wisdom!” Our Dear God, through His Holy Word, instructs us that “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). The actions and words of this world truly indicate a lack of “Wisdom” and “No asking for Wisdom!” Seek His Wisdom! Practice being what God has called you to be and continue to affirm that God’s power is rising in you, renewing and healing your body, bringing power to your mind, giving you success in living. Continue to affirm health, energy, enthusiasm, and the joy for living. All of this we owe to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He has given to us His Victory Principle for Living in His Wisdom, and we should be Praising His Name and declaring out loud…”NOT TODAY SATAN, NOT TODAY!!!” I choose to seek His wisdom, what about you? What God does with you, depends upon what you do! It Always has; It Always will!! Be sure, be productive and continue to share the Love of God with others! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…Remember, THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!
