Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful, for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
As I observe the faces of those around me, and I encounter various individuals that appear to be troubled and preoccupied, I become more aware of the concerns and challenges of the times in which we live. COVID19, Politics, Shortages, Prices Rising, Rampant Violence, the death of Common Sense, and a host of other issues have conspired to cause fear and misery and a sense of hopelessness for so many. Prior to my recent medical challenge, I was strolling through the local Walmart, satisfying my “Honey Do” list, and I encountered a lady that appeared, as if, she had lost her last friend, and I said, “That is a beautiful dress that you are wearing!” She responded with, “Why are you so happy?” What an opening for the Good News! I said, “because my God promised that everything will be okay!” She said, “How can you be so sure?” “I am sure because He promised that He would take care of me, and He has saved me, so I am content in the assurance that the challenges of today are already handled!” I handed a tract to her and said, “God Bless You,” and I walked away. I planted a seed of Hope for her! As I walked away, I was praying that the Holy Spirit would “Take Over” and minister to her! I am happy to report that, even in the middle of the Pandemic and amid social and political unrest and the violence and general malaise of our present age, God is still in control, and I choose to recognize His sovereignty and His Power to take care of me and my life. Amid the struggles, I claim the same attitude of the Apostle Paul, “For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content!” It is up to us to claim His power and Provision for the challenges that we face! Our Attitude will determine our success in living! The world and all that it offers, cannot change His love for us, nor His promises, yet unfulfilled in our lives! Things happen, life rolls on, and your Attitude is Key to success! One of my favorite sayings is, “IT IS WHAT IT IS!” Let not your hearts be troubled…Believe, Claim, Experience and Share!! God has this and He will see us through until the end!! THANK YOU, GOD, FOR THE POWER TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH ASSURANCE AND JOY, IN EVERY SITUATION! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
