Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
There are individuals that are rude and are hurtful in their speech and in their actions, and sadly, they simply are unaware of their hurtful behaviors. It is truly sad when one receives an email, that continues the sarcastic and hurtful theme, and the writer of the email denies the actions. Amazingly, this is a recipe for bitterness and unforgiveness! PRAISE GOD! This is not the way that God treats us! Our God Forgives and Forgets!! So, are we to cling to the bitterness and are we to vow to never forgive and never to forget? Recently, I met a beautiful lady, with an amazing smile, yet when I began to talk to her, she transformed into a bitter and hate-filled “ugly” example of unforgiveness! Dear Friends, if we are to reflect the Love of God, in our lives and actions, and if we are to be “Christ-Like,” then we must FORGIVE! This is not an option!! The Key to this entire message is simple… “Jesus suffered, bled, and died for our sins! He loved us enough to come to be our one, true and ultimate sacrifice for our sins, and His act at Calvary, ensures our Forgiveness! To have a growing relationship with Christ, we must Forgive others, as He has Forgiven us!! UNFORGIVENESS is a “cancer” that will eat away at your Joy, your Peace, and your ability to claim the promise of “Life more Abundantly!” THIS IS NOT AN OPTION! WE MUST FORGIVE AND WE MUST DO ALL THAT WE CAN TO FORGET! From my experience, Forgiveness is a release! Forgiveness is a MUST! JUST LET IT GO! GET ON WITH LIVING FOR JESUS! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
