Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
The end was nearing for Paul, and he was writing to young Timothy, to encourage him to continue, to keep on keeping on, and to be faithful and to continue to fight the “good fight” of faith! A part of Paul’s message to Timothy was a reminder of his calling to the ministry of Christ and the fact that he had been empowered to share the Gospel! This same empowerment has been given to each believer and we have a responsibility to “Live” the Gospel, and to “Share” the Gospel, and to be a “Witness” of God’s Grace and Love! WE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN THE GIFT OF FEAR, BUT POWER, SOUND MIND AND HIS AMAZING LOVE!! The Blessed Holy Spirit gives us Power for Witnessing and for Service to our Savior! His Power, His Love, and His ability to transform our Minds, come together to represent a “Victorious” life for Him! Recently, I heard a man ask another, “Do you have the Holy Spirit?” As I pondered this question, I was struck by another question, “Does the Holy Spirit have you?” It is the Holy Spirit that empowers us to serve, and it is the Holy Spirit that encourages us to continue, regardless of the circumstances, and it is the Holy Spirit that provides for our “Abundant Living,” and that “Abundant Living” is being able to “Serve Him with JOY!” So, the question is: “Does the Holy Spirit have you?” Let our earnest and sincere prayer be for the Father God, through the Grace of Jesus Christ, to fill us with the HOLY SPIRIT, and to fill us with HIS Love, Grace, and Peaceful Joy; and may HE be PRAISED and GLORIFIED in us! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
