June 12 God’s Love … No Matter What! Ephesians 3:18-19
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:18-19)
Our physical appearance is often deceptive. We may look good on the outside, yet, on the inside, we are a mess! We can be buffed up, made up, even “Botoxed” up, yet our personal, “inside” is a wrinkled and quivering mass of uncertainty and despair! Have you ever experienced this? Sadly, I have! I was taught to “Put on Your Happy face” and never let others see your misery and despair! My dear mother used to remind me of Elisha and the Shunammite Woman (2 Kings 4) … t6hat had lost her son, and when she was asked, by the Prophet, how she was doing, and she responded … “It is Well!” Every one of us have challenging times and difficult roads, yet we are to seek Jesus, claim His provision and to “Keep Looking Up!” Granted, this is often easier said than done, however, as Followers of Christ, our inside condition should match our outside condition, as much as is humanly possible! When I have had moments of melancholy despair and interior stress, I Look to the Cross and remember the GREAT LOVE OF GOD, FOR ME AND HIS SELFLESS EXPRESSION OF HIS LOVE THROUGH MY SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST! Simply put … “If God’s peace and love isn’t in your heart when times are tough, then He will not be there when times are easy!!” I identify with my brother Paul … “may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Dear Lord, may I always be aware of YOUR Love and Grace, and may I Live to Honor that Amazing Love. Help me Lord, to have my outside to match my inside, and to recognize the height, depth and length of Your Love for me!” Stay Strong, Stay Focused… THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
