June 18 “Like a Good Neighbor…” Proverbs 11:25
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.” (Proverbs 11:25 NKJV)
The New International Version says that “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Galatians 6:8 declares that “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” God expects us to be “Good Neighbors” to our fellow travelers and He expects us to continue to serve the needs of humanity, in our witness for His Love, and the actual “hands-on” assistance for our fellow travelers! State Farm Insurance used to have a slogan that was interesting! It said, “Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is There!” What if we replaced “State Farm” with your name? Do you remember the parable of the “Good Samaritan?” It is my continual prayer that God would create an attitude within me of the “Good Samaritan,” and empower me to serve Him through my encouraging words and my helpful actions! I am not there yet, but I continue to ask God to allow me to see every living person as my neighbor! I hope and pray that you are progressing towards that same goal of commitment and service to our God, our Neighbors and ourselves! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
