October 12 Mediocrity Titus 3:8
**Please Continue to Pray for Rev. Ricky Anderson! He is making some slight improvements, yet he has a long road to recovery! Please ask God to intercede for my brother and restore him to full health! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! **
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” (Titus 3:8)
I do not know of anyone who is seeking to be mediocre or just plain average. I believe that my early upbringing, with parents that were not satisfied with “Average,” influenced my desire, my mission, to be more than mediocre. My Daddy used to tell me to enhance my strengths and work on my weaknesses. Every one of us, has our limitations, or weaknesses, so, do we highlight what we have difficulty doing, or do we “Grow” our Strengths? Each one of us is good at something! In our Spiritual Lives, we should NEVER settle for Mediocrity! I was told that “Average” is defined as the “Best of the Worst, and the Worst of the Best!” I decided, very early, that I did not want to be Average or Mediocre! We must claim the Victory for Living and Grow our Strengths, while working and praying to change our weaknesses into strengths! I refuse to be Mediocre in my Life, my Living, my Spiritual Devotion and my Service to my Savior! Today, right now, commit your Life to “Being Exceptional,” for our Lord and Dedicate your Life to “Bold & Abundant Living!” I dedicate myself to developing and actively using my God Given Strengths, for His Glory, while, at the same time, submitting my weaknesses to Him, for growth and for being way more than Mediocre! When it is all said and done, I look forward to hearing those beautiful words, “Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant! Enter into Your Reward…” My Lord is NOT MEDIOCRE, and I, seeking to be “Christ-Like,” am Not MEDIOCRE! How About You? Stay Strong, Stay Focused… THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
