October 26 HATRED on DISPLAY James 4:1-17
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners;and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (James 4:1-17)
A week ago, an organized and fully funded protest, across this nation, was demonstrated, and, at that time, we witnessed “Hatred” for one man, on full display! Amazingly, the formal, organized groups, funded by specific leftist socialist groups, that were supporting and encouraging this constitutionally guaranteed right to assemble and to protest, are absolutely opposed to the very constitution that provides the authority to protest and to disagree. I briefly viewed some of the protestors being interviewed and the messages were the same. “Save Democracy, Guarantee our Rights, Down with Intolerance, Bigotry, Violence, No King in America…” Wow! As I changed the channel, I thought about the motivations of these folks, many, in any other situation, would be considered decent and good folks, yet when “HATRED” for one man, fueled by the “Media” and “Satanic Motivated Politicians,” is the motivating factor, then Satan is having a “Field-Day!” As long as God allows this world to continue, there will be HATRED, BIAS, VIOLENCE, INTOLERANCE, PREJUDICES, INJUSTICES, and INCREASED LAWLESSNESS (Satan is the author of such behaviors)! What are we going to do? Recognize our sinfulness (all have sinned and come short of the glory of God) and Confess that Sin, Ask God, through the Grace of Jesus, to forgive our Sins and Ask Him to Save us from the Sins! I declare, based on the HOLY SCRIPTURES, and My Personal Experience, GOD will Change Your Heart, Your Vision, Your Motivations and He will Navigate you to the Promises provided through His Holy Word and the Grace provided through the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ! Fear Not… All of this worldly Hatred will continue, and all of this unrest, violence and intolerance, defiance of Common Sense, will continue to expand and there is coming a day when EVERYONE WILL RECOGNIZE AND CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD… (Romans 14:11: For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”) HATRED and all that accompanies this intolerance, and violence will continue to be a part of our worldly existence until that day when God has had enough and He will “Rapture” the Church, and He will begin His Final Judgement! The Solution for your personal situation and your preparation for the great day coming is found in the Book of Romans… Often Referred to as “The Roman Road to Salvation…”
1. Romans 3:23 – We’ve All Missed the Mark
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
2. Romans 6:23 – Sin Has a Cost, But There’s a Gift “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
3. Romans 5:8 – God Loves You Anyway
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
4. Romans 10:9 – Here’s How You Respond
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
5. Romans 10:13 – Anyone Can Be Saved:“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
This Roman Road to Salvation is for All who will Believe! If you are ready to Believe, Confess, and to Ask Him to Save You, then this is a Simple Prayer for you! This is not some magic spell, it is about you and God, and His great Love for YOU (John 3:16)! “God, I know I’ve sinned. I’ve gone my own way. But I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. I want to turn to You. Please forgive me and lead my life. I trust You. Thank You for saving me.” If you just prayed that, welcome to the family of God.
