Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them. I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father, but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:9-17) We are encouraged to love one another, keep short records of wrongs, and forgive others, not harboring bitterness or anger in our hearts. Amazingly, in the recent election cycle, once again, we see the “Hatred, Evil Intent, and the Wholesale Lies” that come with our modern-day elections! Unfortunately, professing Christians are participating in the rhetoric and the expressions of Hatred, and I continue to be amazed in this reality! Just my observation, but this world, this nation and this community will succumb to the evil that is growing and this world, our nation and community will fall in line for the final stage of earthly human existence, and it is so sad to watch “good” people be deceived by Satan and actively participate in the process of ultimate destruction! Please pay attention! Democrat, Republican, Independent, Communist, Socialist, Renegade, or Confused, these titles of intent are not as important, as having the honor and the privilege to be called a Christian, this is the most important title that you can have! Living for Jesus, talking about Jesus, talking with Jesus, sharing His Love and Grace, being an example of His Divine Transformation is the most important calling that we will have, here on earth! This fact supersedes all politics, opinions and prejudices! I have opinions about politics and civil unrest, and I have concerns about how we interact with those that are opposed to our views, and those who “preach” tolerance, yet are the most intolerant of others! Regardless of what others may do, we are called to “Be Walking in the Light, while being Surrounded by the Darkness of Evil, Sin, and Satanic Activities” Cultivate a “Heavenly” View, versus a “Worldly” View! Praise god, I am here for such a short time, and I am going to be making my journey homeward, sooner than later, and I want my life here, right now, to make a difference, and if I can help just one more person come to a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, then my time here has been a success!
