March 25 Loving God Through the Trials James 1:12
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)
Over the past several weeks, I have been called out for not “Telling Folks How Things Are,” and not being a leader, when I choose to pray and fast over the issues that have been presented and rely on God for guidance and His resolution! Amazingly, it seems that anything that occurs, any attitudes, any actions, any conversations, anything that members of the congregation do or say, that I am personally responsible for each act of attitude, bias, prejudice and ill will! It seems that if I choose not to get embroiled in the chaos of the moment, that I am not doing my job! Well, I AM ABSOLUTELY DOING MY JOB! I am called to be a “Peacemaker,” and I am charged with attempting to proclaim the “Corrective and Powerful Life Changing Word of God,” and He has not called me to get entangled in actions and attitudes that are not Edifying to the Body of Christ! I will continue to claim His Grace and Healing and I will NOT be a part of a petty squabble and be defined as a part of the problem! Simply Put… the overwhelming Problem is Spiritual Immaturity. When we prioritize “ME” and “MY” over “HIM” and “HIS,” then we are destined for trouble, and will include others along the way! Matthew told us of the “Wheat” and the “Tares!” Which one describes you? Stay Strong, Stay Focused… THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
