January 12 “OUR HOLY CALLING” 2 Timothy 1:9
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,” (2 Timothy 1:9)
Take a moment and reflect on the GREAT GIFT of SALVATION provided by the GOD that LOVED US ENOUGH to SEND JESUS CHRIST to be THE ONE TRUE and FINAL BLOOD SACRIFICE for OUR SINS! Is it possible that we get so consumed by activities, commitments, pressures, expectations that we forget to stop and pray, to stop and be Grateful, and forget that we are to reflect His Grace and Glory, and not our own human opinions? Friends, regardless of our human challenges and opinions, we are called to represent Jesus in all of our actions, words and attitudes, and if we are not projecting Jesus in our daily lives, then it is time to STOP, DROP, and PRAY that the HOLY SPIRIT will GUIDE, CORRECT and EMPOWER US to BE CHRIST-LIKE! There is Power, Hope and Fulfillment in the Saving Grace of Jesus! Listen to Philippians 1:6: “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…” Please SEEK HIM, CALL ON HIM, PRAY TO HIM, BE LIKE HIM, and allow His Grace and Glory to be reflected in everything that you do or say! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
