Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
There are days when I am amazed that I continue in “well-doing!” Recognizing the need and the priority of serving God, sharing His Good News, and to support and minister to the flock, it becomes a bit overwhelming and the responses from so many cause one to ponder the value of the effort! Yesterday, in the middle of a trying and challenging set of circumstances, I pulled off into an available parking lot and stopped and began praying. Praying for the situation and all that comes with that particular issue. Sadly, the individuals involved in the “Drama,” fully believe that they are righteous and correct in their position and are only viewing the circumstances from their narrow, personal prospective, motivated, not from a position of Edification of God, but placating their own agenda. Continuing to pray, there in the parking lot, attracted some attention, and a Police Officer stopped to inquire about any needs that I might have. He smiled and was taken aback a bit when I told him that I had stopped to pray, for an intense need, and praying while driving, especially the intensity of prayer that I anticipated would be hazardous to others on the road. He chuckled and declared that in his long experience, this was the first time that he had encountered someone stopping to pray. I invited him to church and we parted company. I completed my prayer time and was back on the road, Praise God, with a renewed prospective and a refreshed mission. Thank You God for the ability to serve You! Please continue to refresh, revive, and restore my passion and my desire to be what You have Ordained and for me to continue to count each day as a blessing and to make a difference for someone, every day! Listen to this simple request, Embrace it, Live it and Enjoy its Bounty! Romans 15:13… “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Please continue to pray for me as I continue to serve Him and serve the needs of an amazing church family at Baptist Tabernacle Church! I am truly Blessed… So, I am going to continue to declare this fact… “I AM TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!” Embrace His Power and Live for Him Each Day! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
