June 26 Joy in Adversity Romans 5:3-4
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” (Romans 5:3-4)
The one true and overwhelming fact of this life is that we all have troubles! Each of us faces adversity and challenges daily! The difference between those who know God, and serve God, and those who have refused to know Him or even acknowledge Him, is not how easy life is, but by conviction and focus, recognizing that troubles will, and do come to all, and that, because of God’s Amazing Grace, we are and can overcome! As Believers, we know that we will have adversity, yet the troubles that we encounter produces patience in our lives, and this patience produces character, which ultimately leads to Hope! I post this devotion this morning because I have experienced the reality of troubles, firsthand, in recent days, and I am here to report that God’s Promise, in Romans 5, is absolutely true! Thank You God for allowing me to see beyond the temporary situation and to claim Your victory! Thank you God for allowing me to embrace Your Hope and for the reality of that Hope that affords me the opportunity to face troubles with Joy in my soul, and a song in my heart, and the promise of Your Love fulfilled in me! Dear Friends, whatever you are going through, DO NOT LOSE HEART! God has promised that He would see us through! I pray that God will help us grow through our adversity and trials, and that we will learn to Hope in Him. May He give us patience and a clear perspective, as we navigate through this maze of challenges that we call life! I am asking Him to grow my Character so that I may learn of Him, Live for Him, and to share His Grace with all that I encounter! DO NOT LOSE HEART! He Promised, I Believe, and I am Claiming His Grace for each step that I take! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
