June 9 LOVE GOD, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR! Luke 10:27
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “So he answered and said, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” (Luke 10:27)
Every one of us is unworthy of God’s Love, Grace and His Salvation! Amazingly, and gratefully, God loves us enough to provide His Love, Grace and Salvation to us, freely and with a sense of duty and commitment! All that we are required to do is to Lord God with all that we are, and to love each other as we love ourselves! We are to intentionally Love God, in all that we do and say, and we are to deliberately and intentionally Love our Neighbor! Notice that the Commandment does not say anything about whether we deem our neighbor, Love Worthy or not! Jesus Christ Loved us when we were absolutely and wholly unworthy! Pay attention… The Love that we are called on to extend to our neighbors is more that a tolerance or distant existence, it must be active and deliberate and genuine! If we are to use all of our Hearts, Minds, and Souls to Love God, then the best way to demonstrate to our Lord that we “get it,” is to intentionally Love His Children! So, regardless of feelings and situations or circumstances, we are to “Love” our Neighbors, not because of who they are, but who HE is! Please Lord, help me to show Your love to my neighbor today! Help me to serve You by Loving You with all that I am and Thank You for providing the power and presence to Love My Neighbor! Believer, THIS IS NOT AN OPTION! We are commanded to LOVE EACH ANOTHER! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
