October 22 Judgmental Romans 3:23-24
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina…“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” (Romans 3:23-24)
If I were to ask, “who is the best person that you know,” can you picture that person in your mind? You know, that person that is always busy doing good deeds for everyone, and seems to be morally clean and is the “go to” person when anyone is in need. Listen, regardless of how good we seem, we are all guilty of sin and all of our “Good Deeds” are as “Filthy Rags” before God, without the Atoning and Redeeming Blood of Jesus to cleanse our Sins and to save our Souls! We are quick to make judgments of others, based on what we perceive is the right way, based on our “Human” comparisons. In 2008, a local pastor found out that I was being considered for the pastorate at BTC. He was extremely critical and judgmental of BTC and told me that he would question my “Calling” and my Spiritual Judgment, if I were to accept a call. Really? Judgment based on some narrow, human, “Holier than Thou” attitude? Remember, this world and all of its elements are opposed to anything having to do with the Divine Will of God. Every one of us, fail to meet the standards of some humans, and every one of us fail to meet the standards of God. Praise God! He knows our weaknesses, and He loved us enough to send Jesus to die for our sins, so that we can be made righteous through His Shed Blood. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin and through this atoning and redeeming Blood, we have HOPE! Please be careful how you judge others! Daddy used to tell me, “Get your own house in order before you tell someone else how to get their house in order!” Concentrate on what is “of God,” and what is “Righteous” in His eyes, and focus on His will for your life and continue to grow and strengthen your own walk with Christ, and amazingly, you will see that “ALL HAVE SINNED AND HAVE FALLEN SHORT OF WHAT GOD PLANNED FOR US!” Let LOVE dominate your judgment, Let GRACE be your Calling and LIFT ONE ANOTHER UP, NOT TEAR ONE ANOTHER DOWN! My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus LOVE and RIGHTEOUSNESS! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
