December 19 Sustaining Power Through Grace Joshua 1:5
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you…” (Joshua 1:5)
Every Pastor, Leader, Supervisor can relate to the “loneliness” that comes with the role. Folks are surprised to find out that while serving others can be a time of intense loneliness. ATTENTION, ATTENTION! The GOOD NEWS is that GOD NEVER ABANDONS US!! We have confidence to serve, knowing that GOD is with us! Now, that is assurance in service and being more efficient in this fact! Every day, I have to stop, drop and pray! Praying for strength to serve and the wisdom to be effective and the patience to love folk through their issues and to recognize that GOD IS ALWAYS WITH ME!!! Amazingly, unlike me, My GOD never forgets an appointment! PRAISE GOD! He is my COMFORTER, TEACHER, ENCOURAGER, CORRECTOR, and HE is My STRENGTH through all that HE has CALLED Me to do!! People will let you down, people will disappoint you, circumstances will challenge your resolve, yet, GOD has PROMISED that HE IS WITH US, REGARDLESS!!! Please join with me in praying, with gratitude, for the constant presence of GOD in our lives and pray that we would be obedient and that we would serve with GLADNESS, as we make a difference for GOD! Again, I say these things with my brother and friend, Bob Himmel, in my mind! Father, please make me available to serve and make me “cheerful” in doing it! GOD has PROMISED HIS guidance, HIS comfort and HIS strength, so PRESS ON and continue to SERVE, until HE calls us HOME! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
