TRY A LITTLE KINDNESS

March 18            Try a Little Kindness       Matthew 5:16

Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”  (Matthew 5:16)

On Monday, March 15, 2021, as I waited for Annette to go back into surgery, for the second time in six days, I was listening to a playlist, from YouTube, and there was one song that stuck with me.  Glen Campbell sang a song called, “Try A Little Kindness,” and as I listened to these words, I thought about how incredible it would be if every believer would actually practice “A LITTLE KINDNESS!”  “If you see your brother standing by the road, With a heavy load, from the seeds he sowed, And if you see your sister falling by the way,
Just stop and say, ‘You're going the wrong way!’

You've got to try a little kindness ,Yes, show a little kindness.
Just shine your light for everyone to see, And if you try a little kindness, Then you'll overlook the blindness, Of narrow-minded people on the narrow-minded streets

Don't walk around the down and out, Lend a helping hand, instead of doubt, And the kindness that you show every day,
Will help someone along their way!

You got to try a little kindness Yes, show a little kindness.
Just shine your light for everyone to see, And if you try a little kindness, Then you'll overlook the blindness Of narrow-minded people on the narrow-minded streets!”

Our instructions, as believers, are crystal clear!  We are to Lord the Lord God with all of our heart, mind and soul, and to love our neighbor as ourselves; and we are to let our light shine before men so that they will see your good works and GLORIFY the Father which is in Heaven!  Are you living your Faith?  Are you letting your LIGHT shine, for His Glory?  Are you truly committed to showing the Love and Kindness of God to this Lost and Narrow-minded world?  If you are covered under the Precious Blood of Jesus, you SHOULD BE!!  What you do for the Cause of Christ, is absolutely up to you!  Please, just live your life, “SHOWING A LITTLE KINDNESS THAT IS MOTIVATED BY THE LORD OUR GOD!!  LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!  Let it shine so bright that folks will have to stop and ask, “What’s that about?”  Make a difference in your spiritual walk. Your attitude and your actions!  TO GOD BE THE GLORY!  Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
