April 17 Walk in FAITH, Not FEAR! Psalm 27:1
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “The Lord is my Light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
The darkness of this evil world and Satan and his minions are constantly on the attack. God has promised that He would provide LIGHT to our living and that He would be our SALVATION in our journey through the darkness of this life! He has promised to be our “Stronghold, “our protector, our strength in times of distress and in times of peace. As a true follower of Christ and a “Born-Again” believer, we have the strength and the protection of our Savior in all that we encounter. God is our strength and He is our “Safe-Place!” I am excited that my God has promised to take care of the “Outer” man and He has promised to take care of the “Inner” man! Remember, regardless of your temporal political or social viewpoint or your lack of commitment to God, He has promised these blessings and protections to all that will accept His Love and claim the “Selfless act at Calvary, of His only Son, as the fulfillment of His Grace and His promise! With God as my “LIGHT,” and JESUS as my SAVIOR, what and who shall I fear? A dear friend and dedicated leader, in our church, gave to me a packet of memory verse cards, and this verse was a part of those inspirational verses. I carry this card with me and throughout the day, I pull it out and repeat it again and again! Folks; the LORD GOD is my LIGHT, and HE is MY SAFE-PLACE! I am excited to claim His power and presence and provision for my living and my allegiance to His love! What God does with you is entirely up to you! It always has and it always will!!! What will it be for you…FEAR or FAITH?... LIGHT or DARKNESS? ... COMMITMENT or CHAOS? As for me and my house, we choose to serve the LORD! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS ABSOLUTELY YET TO BE!
