May 11 “He Forgives and Forgets!” Psalm 103:12
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
Have you ever received a rude email or text message? Well, I have and when I receive one, my first response is to read them over and over and to save it for later. Guess what? That is a perfect recipe for bitterness and un-forgiveness!! Gratefully, that is not the way that God treats us. Psalm 103:12 says that God has, through the shed blood of Jesus, removed our sins “as far as the East is from the West!” This is an infinite area and that indicates that makes our sins as though they simply never existed! UN-FORGIVENESS is a cancer that will turn our lives upside down and create bitterness and chaos, so if we choose to “Dwell” on the situation, we are not and cannot edify the Father God. We have been forgiven, so, we ought to forgive! Easier said than done? Maybe, however, when we are focused on the Love of God and we are seeking to honor Him, then, we are going to do what is required to bring Honor and Glory to His Name and that does not include un-forgiveness, bitterness and hatred! God has promised, through Jesus, that He would not keep a record of our wrongs, so, why are we? Many of you may be familiar with a song by Casting Crowns called “East to West.” In the song, a question is asked: “Just how far is the east from the west?” So beautiful is the answer to this important question: “From one scarred hand to the other!” Thank You God, for Your Love, Your Forgiveness, Your Guidance! May we forgive others even as Christ has forgiven us! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…Remember, THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
