May 12 Let Us Rejoice In Hope Romans 12:9
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Let Love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.” (Romans 12:9
Do you feel it? Are you sensing the unrest and confusion? Can you see the lack of Faith being displayed, even among those who call themselves BELIEVERS? Have we forgotten the promises of our God and Savior? Have we forgotten that God has a plan for us and He will see that His plan for us is fulfilled? Has our confidence in God’s power waned? Are the “storms of this life” causing our Faith to weaken? Please remember this fact… Confidence in God and His plan for our lives always produces Great Joy, HOPE and Contentment.Top of Form As Believers, our Bottom of FormLove must be sincere. We need to Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. We must be devoted to one another in brotherly love. We must Honor one another above yourselves and Never be lacking in zeal, but keep our spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Rom 12:9) What Is Hope? - Hope is not just a “wish!” Hope is “a joyful and confident expectation” of what God is doing and will do on our behalf. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Hope is the “future tense” of faith. - Hope is no weaker than faith because both are set upon God. Hope is vital for our success in following God! Hope is never alone. Hope is one of three Christian virtues. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13) Hope stabilizes the spirit of, we as believers. Hope motivates godly living. Hope inspires joyful confidence in God. Hope is associated with victory, not defeat. Hope is the expectation of the best God has in store for us. Hope is the assurance of God’s future work, just as we now trust His present ministry. Remember, to be “filled with hope” is to be filled with joy. So, what Hope Is There For Those Without Jesus? There is no hope without Jesus. Jesus is our “hope of glory.” Christian Believers, regardless of the situations, regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the conditions, our God has provided HOPE in the midst of Despair and HOPE in the midst of worldly unbelief, and He has the power to sustain us and to maintain us and to provide the power to overcome! Never let your Faith to weaken; and Never allow this world to shake your confidence in the promises of God for your life! It does not matter what happens, in this EVIL world, because I AM A CHILD OF THE KING WHO IS NOT MOVED BY THIS WORLD…FOR MY GOD IS WITH ME AND GOES BEFORE ME…I DO NOT FEAR BECAUSE I AM HIS!! Please allow the CONFIDENCE IN GOD to provide comfort and HOPE and joy, as we anticipate HIS ARRIVAL! Remember… What God does with you, depends upon what you do! It Always has, It Always will!! To God Be the Glory! Stay Strong, Stay Focused… Remember, THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!
