May 20 Being Steadfast 1 Corinthians 15:58
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
In this chapter, Paul was telling us of the Glorious Hope that is found in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ! He was proclaiming the fact that, regardless of the issues, trials and conflicts that befall us, in this life, that Jesus has paid the price for our redemption and that we should be solidly founded and grounded in HIS promise of Victory! Folks, we have been promised Eternal Life with God the Father and God the Son and that this “Corruptible Old Earthly Body is going to put on Incorruption,” and that we have a Home that is not made by Human Hands. So, what is our responsibility, our duty, our hope? Our responsibility is to serve God, in the beauty of His Holiness! Our Duty is to walk in obedience and to be committed to His Cause! Our Hope is found in recognizing, claiming and living Jesus’ Saving Grace; that He provided at the Cross of Calvary! “My Hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ Blood and Righteousness…” ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!... “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” Keep on Keeping on for Jesus. Always recognize His Sustaining Power and be Active in service to God. Remember, What God does with you is entirely up to you! It always has and it always will!! Stay Strong, Stay Focused, Stay Steadfast, and Continue to “Abound” in the Work of the Lord!!! Truly and without a doubt: “THE BEST IS YET TO BE!”
