May 19 Mediocrity Titus 3:8
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” (Titus 3:8)
I do not know of anyone who is seeking to be mediocre. I believe that my early upbringing, with parents that were not satisfied with “Average,” influenced my desire, my mission, to be more than mediocre. My Daddy used to tell me to enhance my strengths and work on my weaknesses. Every one of us, have our limitations, or weaknesses, so, do we highlight what we have difficulty doing, or do we “Grow” our strengths? Every one of us, are good at something! In our Spiritual lives, we should NEVER settle for Mediocrity! We must claim the Victory for Living and Grow our Strengths, while working and praying to change our weaknesses into strengths. I refuse to be Mediocre in my life, my living, my Spiritual devotion and my service to my Savior! Today, right now, commit your life to being “Exceptional,” for our Lord and dedicate your life to “Bold and Abundant Living!” I dedicate myself to developing and actively using my God Given Strengths, for His Glory, while, at the same time, submitting my weaknesses to Him, for growth and for being more than Mediocre. When it is all said and done, I look forward to hearing those beautiful words, “Well done thy good and faithful servant! Enter into your reward…” My Lord is NOT MEDIOCRE, and I, seeking to be “Christ-like,” am not MEDIOCRE!! How about you? Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!!
