May 24 “Principle of Victory” John 3:16/ 1 John 4:4
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
We are living in some crazy times. Chaos, deceptions, False Prophets, mixed messages of “right & wrong,” racism being justified by racism, and a host of other issues. As a Follower of Christ and all that He provides, we MUST stay focused on HIM and what HE is! Daily, we are bombarded with falsehoods and deceptions and out and out lies! How are we to deal with this upside down world? The message is clear. My Daddy used to speak of the “Principle of Victory” that ruled his living. For as long as I can remember, he preached this “Principle” and he lived by this “Principle.” He would boldly proclaim that God loved him enough that He sent Jesus to die for his sins and that fact was enough to recognize that God was ready, willing and able to direct, protect and to sustain him through all that life has to offer. He would proclaim the Victory assurance when he would happily state with intensity, that “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world!” Daddy called this his VICTORY PRINCIPLE! This may not be the exact words that he would say; however, this is what I remember and these words continue to inspire and motivate me to greater service. “I gladly affirm that God’s Power is growing in me, renewing and healing my mind and body, bringing Power to my mind, giving me success in my activities. I affirm health, energy, enthusiasm, the God directed Joy of life. All of this I owe to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. He has given me the ‘Victory Principle’ for which I thank Him every day!” Are you claiming the Victory or are you consumed by the worldly challenges and walking without Victory? You MUST decide who you will serve! As for me, I choose Jesus! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS ABSOLUTELY AND WITHOUT A DOUBT, YET TO BE!
