September 2 Humans: In a Hurry/God: In Due Season! Galatians 6:9
***Due to the rise in COVID19 related illnesses, we are strongly encouraging the use of Masks, within the sanctuary, and to continue to observe “Social Distancing.” Together, with a faithful reliance on God, we will overcome this present challenge!!***
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)
It appears as if we are always in a hurry. When I am in God’s Word, I notice that our timeline and God’s Timeline are totally different. We are in a hurry, and He is not! I remember well, the admonition of my Daddy, when he would repeatedly tell me to “Take My Time and Do It Right!” Have you ever thought that we are God’s construction project, and He is taking His time to “Build” us in the proper way? We, as believers, are under construction, and we are being developed by the Eternal Master Builder, and we are works in progress! As I think on this fact, it helps me to be patient with myself and with my God. He knows, what He is doing, and in my humanity, I want things done right this minute. Thank God that I am on His Timeline, and not my own. I continually pray that God will construct me in the way that pleases Him and that He will cause me to walk in obedience and to exercise the growth that He has ordained, in me. The message for today is clear…Slow Down, Focus on His Will, Not Ours, and Keep On Growing, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not!” Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
