August 29 HIS Expectations, Not Ours! Galatians 6:9
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)
It is in the small hours of the morning when it feels as if the world is crowding into your every thought and the challenges of living are exacting their toll on your very existence, that it is necessary to “STOP, DROP, and PRAY!” Perspective is key to survival! I absolutely love to minister to folks in need and to assist them in this journey of life, but it is a true “chore” to deal with immature and “Baby-Like” grown folk that are whining and complaining about every little thing that doesn’t go their way! Unfortunately, those that are whining require more time than those who are truly in need! “I called you and you didn’t answer!” “Why didn’t you go see my 3rd cousin that was in the hospital? I told you about it, and I thought that you would, at least, make an appearance!” “You need to fix this!” “What are you going to do about so-in-so? They are the problem! If they were gone, things would be better!” Keep in mind, I love what I do, and I do what I love, and I love doing it with you, however, each one of us has a responsibility to be actively growing and maturing and becoming as Christ-Like as humanly possible. I apologize for admitting that I am not perfect, and that I do get weary in the job, however, I NEVER AM WEARY OF THE JOB! Please Pray for me and every other Pastor that is Loving their Flock, Serving their God and striving to be “CHRIST-LIKE,” Every Day, In Every Way! Remember Isaiah 40:31: "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." I quote it every day! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
