"EXERCISING GREAT LOVE!"
March 8 “Exercising Great Love” 2 Peter 3:9
**We are celebrating Ronnie Faulkner’s Life today! I my heart, I am sad, but in my spirit, I am excited for my brother! He has achieved complete victory over the invader that ravaged his earthly body. Please join with me in praying for Ronnie’s family and friends as we adjust to life without this bright star that brought God’s Light into our lives. So Long My Friend, Until We Meet Again! **
ANNOUNCEMENT: Baptist Tabernacle Church will be 100 years old, in 2022. A grand celebration is planned for May 22, 2022, to commemorate the first service as an organized church body! Special information, recognitions, God’s Word, and a catered meal (Parker’s BBQ) will be a part of the celebration. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the festivities.
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
My earliest memories involve the love of my mother and the mercy that she demonstrated towards this “active and mischievous” little boy! I was inquisitive and I wanted to see how things worked, and that would include taking things apart and putting them back together. One example was the Electrolux vacuum cleaner. It came apart easily, and it went back together just as simply, with 2 parts left over! Oops! Here comes the exercise of her great love! I know that I put Mama through some trying times, yet she was so compassionate, and she loved me through the “growth.” Now, her patience had limits! From time to time, she would exercise her great love at the end of a belt or a “switch (I would have to fetch)!” Mama was my first example of the Love of God and the depth of His love for a wayward people. My God loves each one of us and He does not want any to perish, and this great love is extended to all! Just as Mama would show mercy, our God shows mercy to us! He does not overlook sin, or ignore His Holiness, but God is patient and loving and He is ready to forgive and to reconnect with us. Folks, I would ask why it was that I would receive a “killing” for my actions, yet my friend would get a pass from his mother! “Because I love you more,” was my mother’s answer! Peter said that it might appear that our Lord was “slack” in punishing the sinful, however, God is patient and loving and He wants us to repent and to claim His Grace and to re-establish a “Right” relationship with Him. God is patiently waiting for you today! Every day, in everything, God is actively demonstrating His Great Love for us! Sadly, not everyone will be SAVED! God’s Love demands Holiness, and His Holiness is always tempered by HIS LOVE! Just remember this: God Loves You and He is Not Slack with this Love! He has Promised redemption, and Eternal Life, with Him, and the Price of Admission to Heaven has been paid on the Cross of Calvary! God is ready to forgive your sins, and He is willing to show His Mercy towards you, and to offer His Grace (His unmerited favor) for the remission of your sins! My dear Mama corrected me because she loved me, and my God offers His Love and He corrects me and guides me and protects me, and He is not SLACK in Doing IT! I have rambled on to say this and it is the most important lesson of all: “… not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
BIRTHDAYS FOR MARCH 07, 2022
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:

"FAITH WALKING ..."
March 7 “Faith Walking…” 2 Corinthians 5:7
ANNOUNCEMENT: Baptist Tabernacle Church will be 100 years old, in 2022. A grand celebration is planned for May 22, 2022, to commemorate the first service as an organized church body! Special information, recognitions, God’s Word, and a catered meal (Parker’s BBQ) will be a part of the celebration. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the festivities.
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “For we walk by Faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
FAITH is an amazing thing! Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This thing called Faith, is the very foundation of our Christian existence and our relationship with the “Author and Finisher” of our Faith! If we are, to consistently and habitually, tap into the rich and powerful blessing of God, we must have a growing and dynamic Faith! Everything that we are, or hope to be, through the Love of God, is tied to our Faith! Unfortunately, we are so “sight” oriented and “sight” dependent! We expect to be able to touch or se it, and we expect to be able to, through our human intellect, to prove it! Often this is the basis of our faith, and it is inadequate and will ultimately fail! Reverend Norris Cook, many years ago, preached a sermon on people of Faith, and he said that there are two types of people that live in the world of Faith. He said that there are those that “Walk in Faith,” that have surrendered their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, trusting in His Provision and Power through, any, and all circumstances. Then, he said, there are those that “Wander from Faith!” Those who decide to go it on their own and to take matters into their own hands! Dear Friends, walking by FAITH requires a keen focus and a confident and dedicated study and application of the Word of God, into our lives! Counting on the Faithfulness of God and to walk in His Will and to live obediently and to demonstrate your Faith to others! Walking by faith requires, what Pastor Cook called, Enduring Patience! Regardless of the circumstances, regardless of what we see, regardless of the “popular” thought, we are to look to God, and we are to “Walk in Faith,” believing that He Will See Us Through! This “Faith Walk” has been a joyful learning experience for me! As I continue to grow closer to Him, and depend more and more on His Guidance and Grace, I am provided the opportunity to experience His Joy, His Truth, His Provision, His Grace, and His Promises! Because of His Great Love, I have the privilege to recognize and rejoice in His trustworthiness and His Bounty and Blessings! Come what may, I am walking in “FAITH!” Regardless of the circumstances, I am growing in HIS GRACE! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!

March 6 HIS Great Love Romans 5:8
**Ronnie Faulkner went to be with Jesus last night! Please pray for his dear family and friends. Ronnie Faulkner was a man that made a difference! We Love You, Ronnie! So Long My Friend, Until We Meet Again! Pastor Glen**
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Have you ever stopped to consider the width and height and length and depth of the Love of Christ that was demonstrated on the Cross of Calvary? God, in His desire to re-establish the relationship with humanity, offered and sent His ONLY SON to be the one, true and ultimate blood sacrifice for our sins and to re-connect our relationship with the Father, through the Son! As Followers of Christ, we must be sincere and honest when we express Love towards one another! This Great Love, the Love of God, is not shallow, but is deeper and wider and taller and vast! This is the example that we MUST follow and that we MUST demonstrate to others! I am excited to represent this extravagant Love, this All-Encompassing Love, this SAVING Love! I pray that God’s Love will be demonstrated in my life, my actions, and my words! I am grateful to God the Father, for His Gift of Love, through Jesus Christ! I am thankful for the selfless expression of Love that Jesus demonstrated on the Cross, and I am filled with gratitude and amazement because of the outpouring of God’s Love through the Blessed Holy Spirit! How about you? May we continue to be amazed by His Love, and may we continue to embrace His Love and demonstrate this Great Love to others! THANK YOU, GOD, FOR LOVING A SINNER LIKE ME! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST (Praise GOD) IS YET TO BE!
"TRUST IN THE LORD AND PRAY"
March 5 “Trust in the Lord and Pray!” Mark 11:24
** I am continuing to improve, daily. The one consistent feature of COVID19 is the fatigue! I am praying for energy and stamina! Thank you for all the prayers, calls, cards and encouragement, during this latest bout with the virus. Love Every One of You! Pastor Glen
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)
One of the favorite sayings, from my mother, was that I should always “Trust in the Lord and Pray!” From an early age, I was witness to the necessity and the power of Prayer. Mama would tell me, in every situation, “Pray about it!” As I matured, I came to realize that “prayer” was the key to my survival and that “Prayer” has no limits or boundaries! My God can do everything necessary to guide me and to help me and to allow me to grow in Him. Praise God! He is unique and He is ready to hear my prayers, about anything, at any time and anywhere! Mama would caution me to understand that my prayers should be “in His Will,” and that I should pray about everything! Just a note: Every prayer that I have prayed to my Savior, He has answered! His answers are “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait on Me!” God loved me enough to sacrifice Jesus, so that I could be saved, and have a relationship with God the Father. So, I am still trusting in the Lord while I am praying and I know that, through the challenges and trials of this life, He hears me, and He will answer in the manner that is best for me! I am excited that my God sees tomorrow, while I can only see today! He sees next month and next year and I am limited in my human prospective, yet I am trusting Him and talking with Him and excited about the future! The longer I live, the more I know that I can Trust Him! By the way…God hasn’t given me everything that I have asked for, over the years! Thank God, that He hasn’t! I can only imagine the mess that I would be in today! Listen, I have struggled when it appeared that I was not going to get my way, and I have wanted to “pout!” Then, there was this voice, a strong and loving voice, that gave me the best instructions: “Trust in the Lord and Pray!” Thank you, Mama, for sharing the Love of God with me! NO ONE knows what is best for me more than my Savior, Jesus Christ! Today, as every day, I place my doubts, burdens, worries at the base of the Cross and plead the “Blood of Jesus” for these petitions. Trusting in God to be God, and to do what He promised that He would do, is the most amazing and “Freeing” thing! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
"FAITHFULNESS EQUALS FORGIVENESS"
March 4 “Faithfulness Equals Forgiveness” Proverbs 25:21-22
**Shortages abound…Gasoline approaching 4.00 per gallon… The truth about what exists, is in short supply… Yesterday, I was asked, once again, “What in the world are we going to do?” We are going to PRAY and we are going to be FAITHFUL!**
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head,
And the Lord will reward you.” (Proverbs 25:21-22)
Many years ago, my daddy had 2 friends that, for whatever reason, didn’t like each other (I never knew the reasons). This “feud” went on for year and it caused stress and unnecessary strife among the family members. One day, Friend “A”, asked daddy to drive him to the local fertilizer store and to help him with his small order (He actually wanted daddy to drive and to use daddy’s truck). Coming back, daddy turned down the road that Friend B lived on, and Friend “A” had a fit! “You know that he lives on this road, and I am not going to go by his house and give him the satisfaction of seeing me on his road!” Daddy had had enough, so he said, “Do you mean to tell me that you think that “B” is sitting in his picture window, waiting for you to come down the road, so that he can get upset about you being on “his” road? Are you serious?” This sounds a bit extreme, doesn’t it? Well, that is what happens when we allow unforgiveness to fester and grow and it turns to bitterness and poison for our very existence! Friend “A” was consumed by the unforgiveness, and he allowed the bitterness to poison his life and the lives of his family! Friend “B” had offered an apology, years ago, and had moved on with his life! Sadly, ever so sadly, Friend “A” refused to forgive, and he lived out his life in anger and bitterness and his extended family carried on the tradition of unforgiveness and strife and it finally destroyed their entire family! Jesus offers a better way! He tells us to “feed him bread,” “Give him drink!” We are to “Love our Enemies,” even though they might attempt to cause us harm! Listen, the SPIRITUAL PROMISE from God is Clear! HE will reward us for our obedience, and He will provide “Abundant Life” for our dedication and obedience! JESUS IS LOVE! When He is in us and we walk in Him, then we should be examples of His Love! We demonstrate the very character of God on our lives when we respond to our enemies and those who would do us harm, with His Love and our selfless desire to Honor our Savior! I want to be more “Christ-like” every single day! I want the true nature and character of God to be displayed in my life! Help me Lord, to love unconditionally, to preach without stopping and to honor you in everything that I do! The question is: “Are You Ready To Forgive and to Enjoy the Abundant Living Through the Redemption of Jesus Christ?” Will you be Friend “A” or Friend “B?” Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU FOR THE PRAYERS, CALLS, CARDS CONCERN DURING MY LATEST BOUT WITH COVID! I AM BACK, SLOWLY, BUT I AM BACK, PRAISE GOD! IN HIS LOVE, PASTOR GLEN

Special information, recognitions, God’s Word, and a catered meal (Parker’s BBQ) will be a part of the celebration. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the festivities.
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.” (1 Thessalonians 5:8)
My dear friend, Reverend Ricky Anderson, has told me of his experiences of standing on the hillside and looking over into the most famous battlefield that exists, the Valley of Jezreel. It is more commonly known as the Valley of Armageddon! As a student of history, I know that the first recorded battle took place there, and the exciting news is that the Last Battle fought on this earth will happen right there! This is a famous battlefield, yet the most common and most used battlefield in in our hearts and minds! The Apostle Paul gives clear instructions to cover ourselves with the breastplate of Faith and Love, and to protect our minds with the helmet of Salvation! Listen, the instructions from Paul are applicable to our lives today! Faith ushers into our lives, the righteousness of Christ, and this Love allows us to share it with others! This Hope of Salvation, that Paul speaks about, protects our minds and is a true source of encouragement! Listen Closely!!! Every single day, Satan is actively engaged in the battle for your thoughts and your very heart! He is seeking control, so that he can cause others to doubt and to stumble along this life! THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE VICTORY AND TO SERVE GOD, IS TO REMAIN ALERT AND TO BE READY FOR THE BATTLE! There is no doubt, WE ARE IN A BATTLE FOR THE VERY SOUL OF MAN! Get Ready, Be Ready and “Armor Up!” “NOT TODAY SATAN, NOT TODAY!” Stay Strong, Stay Focused, Stay Ready…The Battle is at hand! Victory is ours, through the Blood of Jesus! REMEMBER: THE BEST IS ABSOLUTELY AND WITHOUT A DOUBT, YET TO BE!
"I CALLED, HE ANSWERED"
March 2 “I Called, HE Answered!” Psalm 138:3
ANNOUNCEMENT: Baptist Tabernacle Church will be 100 years old, in 2022. A grand celebration is planned for May 22, 2022, to commemorate the first service as an organized church body! Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.” (Psalm 138:3)
King David’s enemies were surrounding him, and he was troubled on every side, and he wrote this psalm. He was probably about to be forced out of Jerusalem and would have to evacuate to a safer place. King David had a problem! Guess What? Problems have been with mankind since Adam discovered that he had a real problem! He was naked! Ever since that day, “Man” born of a “Woman,” have had troubles! Wait! The Good News is that we have an “Ever-Present,” “Powerful,” and “Loving” God that has promised us that His Grace would be sufficient for our every need! Do you recall that Paul had a “Thorn in the Flesh,” and that Paul asked for it to be removed, and God said, No! This was a reminder to Paul that God’s Grace is sufficient for every human need! David said, “In the day when I cried out, You answered me!” Praise God! We serve an on-time, right this minute God, who is ready, willing and able to handle our needs. Did you notice that God didn’t take away David’s problems, he “made him bold with strength in his soul.” God provides us with the boldness to face the issues and to grow our faith and to be overcomers, regardless of the challenges that we face! I choose to walk with God and to Praise His Name and to be grateful for His Provision for me! His Grace is sufficient for me, HOW ABOUT YOU? I cry out to God, and He answers me with what He knows that I need! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!

Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)
All, of the greatest moments of my life have been experienced, in prayer and the results of prayer! The scripture passage for today, follows a promise that God made, to provide a future and to offer hope! I feel blessed and privileged to be able to call on my God, and to know that He has promised a “Divinely Guided Future and His Blessed Hope for my Life! You see, prayer, sincere and faith-filled prayer, is the conduit by which we enter His presence and talk with Him and position ourselves to claim His Divine Promises for our Lives! I get excited, each time that I enter the presence of the “UNLIMITED GOD,” especially, when I recognize my “LIMITED” capacity! PRAISE GOD! Because of His “UNLIMITED” provisions, I can live “LIMITLESS!” Folks, the privilege of prayer is a blessing! We can talk to God, and He will listen and answer our prayers! He listens to my “whining and my complaining and still loves me and has promised that He would provide His Grace for my every shortcoming! So, given the promise, and believing His Word, and recognizing His “UNLIMITED” capacity and power, with intensity and with clear focus, call on the Lord, in Faith, and share your burdens and struggles and needs and desires, and leave them at His feet! Every day, in faithful prayer, share your ups and downs and LEAVE THEM WITH HIM! Pray for each other and lift-up our leaders and our friends and neighbors and LEAVE IT THERE! Bring all your burdens to the Lord, put them at His Feet and LEAVE THEM THERE! Guess What? Your Husband or Wife, Your Friends, Your Co-Workers, even Your Pastor may not always listen to you, yet we have a friend, a friend that is closer than a brother, that will listen, hear, and respond to our prayers! What a privilege that we have in Holy and UNLIMITED PRAYER! Exercise the Privilege and Pour Out Your Heart To God and Expect His Blessings, Corrections, and His Provisions! HE WILL LISTEN TO YOU!! Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!

Be an ENCOURAGER
February 28 “Be an Encourager” Colossians 3:16
**HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHIRLEY LANE! THANK YOU FOR BEING THE SISTER THAT I DIDN’T HAVE!! LOVE YOU SIS, PASTOR GLEN**
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16)
It has become clear to me in my 65 years of living, at there are two distinct types of people in this world! One type love’s others, and is always seeking to help and support and encourage others, and the other type is a complainer and is constantly draining us and trying our patience and seems to be seeking the worst that can exist! Have you ever known some one that triggers your “Flight” response whenever they come around? You know that criticism and complaining is about to happen! Conversely, how about that individual that crosses your path, and you are immediately, lifted-up, and you feel encouraged and blessed to have them in your life! There was a man with such credentials, in the Bible. A man that was an Encourager and Supporter of others. His name was Joseph, but the Disciples, changed his name, to describe this amazing man more accurately. They called him, Barnabas, which means “Son of Encouragement!” What a way to be known! Dear Friends, under the redeeming blood of Jesus, may we be “Encouragers” for our fellow travelers, on this journey of life, and may we be known as the “Encourager!” When we are completely absorbed in God’s Grace and Love, then we can truly and effectively be that “Encourager” that Jesus has ordained! Get your house in order and stop complaining! How do we do that? Listen and Obey… “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!

HIS Great Love...
February 27 HIS Great Love… John 15:13
ANNOUNCEMENT: Baptist Tabernacle Church will be 100 years old, in 2022. A grand celebration is planned for May 22, 2022, to commemorate the first service as an organized church body! Special information, recognitions, God’s Word, and a catered meal (Parker’s BBQ) will be a part of the celebration. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the festivities.
Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina… “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
In 1 John 4:8, John wrote to the early church that “God is Love!” Christianity is the only earthly belief system that, has at its foundation, the reality of Loving One Another! Love is the key. Love is the central part of our God’s very nature and existence. It is because of God’s amazing Love that He sought a vital relationship with sinful men and women, even at the cost of His Only Begotten Son. It was this GREAT LOVE that brought Jesus to the Cross and it was this amazing Love that Jesus demonstrated, on that old Cross, is the reality of God’s GREAT LOVE for us! So, when Jesus says that; “Greater love has no one than this; than to lay down one’s life for his friends,” it is a statement of our requirement to Love God and our Neighbor! Our Jesus, willingly and with divine purpose, went to the Cross and suffered and died for our sins and this is the Greatest Act of Love that the world has ever known!! Jesus came because God Loves us and Jesus, in His Love for Mankind, was willing to be the one, true, and final blood sacrifice for our sins! That, my friends, is LOVE. I am excited to be a part of that “Shed Blood Experience” and to call Jesus, friend. As my friend, I am in communication with Him, and to have Him share in my burdens, and grateful that He intercedes, with the Father, on my behalf. The reality is clear, we are to Love God, Embrace and claim His Love through Jesus and to GO and SHARE this LOVING RELATIONSHIP and this LOVING FRIENDSHIP with everyone that we meet!! Thank you God for Loving me enough to “Lay Down Your Son’s Life For ME!” IT IS ALL ABOUT HIS LOVE FOR US!! DO YOU REALLY LOVE HIM? Stay Strong, Stay Focused…THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
