March 31 Specific and Effective Prayer Proverbs 29:18

Good morning from Pastor Glen Brock, Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wendell, North Carolina, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
The lessons of the past pandemic, and the issues and challenges that continue, the political and social upheaval have caused great concerns among God’s People! Politics and the Divisions of Thought have combined to create a stressful environment. Through the pandemic and the recent political divide, I have experienced judgement, condemnation and expressions of this world’s hatred. “Lord, what must I do to change the situation?” PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! Surely God does not intend for us to be at each other’s throats over worldly, evil, hate-filled and temporal issues! I Praise God that He has made crystal clear that I must continue to Grow in my Faith, “Hone” my Vision and Walk in Obedience, regardless of the earthly challenges and distractions! Friends, our Vision, our Mission, our Direction comes from, and always will, come from the Leading and Guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT! Communication with God, through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit is the KEY to Successful Growth and effective Christian Living! One of the blessings of this growth period, for me, is that I have discovered the ability and the necessity for “Targeted” Prayer! With His Vision, I am “Targeting” my Prayers for a Specific Goal in mind, always seeking His Will and His Authority! I, personally, cannot change individuals, however, I can call their names before Almighty God, and Claim the Victory for them! “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!” This is an instruction to be in the “ATTITUDE of PRAY” always! Submit Yourself to God, Claim the Redemption through the Blood of Jesus, and embrace the power for living through the Holy Spirit! To be an OVERCOMER, we MUST be COMMITTED TO BEING PRAYER WARRIORS! Recently, I was asked how I tolerate the insanity that is present day living, as a Pastor and a neighbor, and my answer is clear and bold! PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, FOCUS ON HIS WILL, WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS CALL, AND TO MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT MY VISION IS IN LINE WITH HIS WILL! Simply Put… Grow and become what God has ordained for you to be! Stay Strong, Stay Focused … THE BEST IS YET TO BE!
SIDE NOTE: I have the privilege, each passing day, to pray for each of you! Calling you out to our God has been one of the most amazing worship experiences that I have encountered! Please know that I will continue to lift you up to God, as long as there is breath in my body! The reality is clear, when we are praying for one another, we cannot tear one another down! Remember, our relationship with one another is a direct reflection of our relationship with our Savior!
